Hallo Basketballfans !!! I'am Marek Szczepanowski - coach of girl's basketball team from Gniezno/Poland. In June 2003 we are planning to organize an International Basketball Tournament for boys and girls (U14 & U16) to which we warmheartedly invite. Detailed informations will be soon available. It`s good chance to improve their languages skills, see the world, meet new people and on that occasion check our sports abilities with other foreign teams. The seat of the club and tournament is Gniezno - a town of about 75 000 citizens located in the west of Poland. It`s a town of huge historical importance for each Pole. Hello! I am looking for ANY info on my maiden name of Westby. My grandmother always told me our name was changed to Westby from Abrahamshen (?). I don't have much info on my family at all and I am trying to begin that search. Any info would be helpful. The biggest part of my family lived in Kentucky up until recently. Madisonville to be exact. My grandmother's name was Mary Katherine Westby and my grandfather's name was Mike Westby. He lived in Evansville, Indiana when he died a number of years ago. Thank you!

Wonderful pages you have. Do not speak or read Norwegian Looking for my husbands great grandfather . We knew him as Andrew Opdahl. Traced him to Lanesboro, Minnesota USA where his name was listed as Severin Anderson Opdahl married to Thea Murtiane Kristiandtr Dunnum. Andrew was born June 15, 1860 in Norway. Supposedly immigrated to USA with a brother in 1878. Cannot find his place of birth or where he immigrated from. Would any one be related to Andrew? Any help would be very much appreciated.
